Ireland's Professional Register
for Hypnotherapists and
Hypno-Psychotherapists

(NHPR non-statutory)

The NHPR was officially registered in 1997 as a means of ensuring that every Hypnotherapist and Hypno-psychotherapist registered was examination qualified, bound by a code of ethics, insured, supervised, committed to ongoing training and had completed a training analysis.

The NHPR was created following recommendations made by the Minister of Health to the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy on 12th April, 1991, for the criteria and standards required for the registration of the profession of Hypno-psychotherapists.  Read more about the NHPR >>>

The National Register is a list of professional Therapists who have demonstrated their qualifications and experience in accordance with government recommendations. It is maintained by the European Association of Professional Hypnotherapists (EAPH), formerly knows as the ICHP Graduates Association.

When you choose a Hypnotherapist or Hypno-Psychotherapist from the Register you can be sure that they:

  • are qualified and experienced
  • are fully insured
  • abide by the Code of Ethics
  • guarantee your confidentiality

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information on the Register. However you are advised to check their qualifications and experience with the hypnotherapist before commencing therapy.
